What Qualifies as Reasonable and Necessary Support?
Reasonable and necessary supports are the ones that are related to the participants’ disability and do not include their day-to-day activities that do not directly relate to their disability, for example- groceries, day-to-day costs not related to a person’s ability or something that can harm the participant or the people around. These should also represent a value for money and must help the participant with things like being more independent, supporting their goals and aspirations, helping them be an active part of the community or uplifting their mental and physical health and wellness.
